All of the walks mentioned are gentle gradient, under 90 minutes, comfortable for a fit 55 year old. Yet you might just chose to do five minutes of walk. They are specifically chosen for their accessibility and to showcase spectacular scenery or notable local features. There are also longer walks we can discuss.
Always wear sturdy footwear with heel support!
Additionally there are world class activities along your route that you may wish to consider an entry fee. Some of which I suggest.

I have scheduled for 9 am daily starting after breakfast.
All activities and camp ground venues are listed in approximate order. That may vary day by day depending on route, weather, tide, start time of day availability or not of a particular camp ground so best book promptly. You or I may also suggest one of the many alternative activities. If you tell me what you like to do, I can tailor our trip. You can often decide as late as the evening before.
The main question will not be what will we do but what will we miss out on due to lack of time. Though you can always book stay extra days 🙂
We stay in fully enclosable private tents with ground sheets on air mattresses with fresh linen in camp grounds or in a Maori marae (meeting house) on mattresses in a communal hall. Or in cabins or motels. If heavy rain actual or forecast then we will stay in shelter or the tents will be sheltered by a solid roof.
I will get you started on each walk then take those not doing the walk to the end to meet you. Those with less mobility can do a little of the walk at each end if you chose.
I can source for free, without my responsibility. At your risk and responsibility, boogie boards, sea kayaks, stand up paddle board and googles on beach side days on Northland tour. For you to use in environments I have experienced and considered safe.
But I do not guide or sell any water activities other than keep a safety look out where possible.

You could join the tour part way through or do it in reverse, total flexibility. Let’s chat.

Daily itineraries
Typically from Monday 10.30 am to Friday evening.
I pick up normally from Whangarei airport or Intercity bus station on Dent st opposite PaknSave supermarket. The only intercity stop in Whangarei. www.intercity.co.nz
Intercity buses depart from 102 Hobson St by Sky city Tower central Auckland North. Three times daily from 37 NZ$ book online one of the first two buses departs 7.30 am and 1300.
Try to get the earliest bus. Get on one of the first two buses.
Intercity bus has other stops on State Highway one heading north.
It’s a direct bus, no transfer so relax and enjoy scenery.
By separate paid arrangement I could pick up a group from Albany, North Shore of Auckland bus station. Or other pick up locations further North on or close to state Highway one by arrangement.
Regardless where we pick up. Every day wear sturdy shoes or sturdy sandals with heel support.
We will drive about 60 to 80 kms per hour with frequent stops. Or slower if conditions demand per hour so a good pace to absorb the landscape.
We pull off frequently at beauty spots where you can stretch your legs.
Often every half hour or so and no more than an hour or so driving at a time.
The itineraries are our first option, all activities optional. If we don’t do one of the preferred activities listed on one day it can normally be done on another day.
The first couple to book can decide the itinerary, where there are choices to be made.
I can suggest other options but what is on offer is easily accessible typical majestic Northland province nature. Those subsequently booking the same trip can make requests and we try to cater for them.
