Five day Trip to the family friendly destinations outlined, guiding you on the start of free scenic walks, picking you up at other end of one way walks.  Final itinerary tailored with you. 

All simple adequate breakfast, lunch and dinners; All share preparation of meals.

Time set aside for suggested walks, swimming activities at your option.

Accommodation in a communal cabin or room. Subject to availability over peak season late Dec until early Feb, peak season maybe camp grounds and tents. With use of a lounge.  Fresh linen, sleep bag and pillow.

Alternatively you can book your own accommodation or ask me recommended . Check with me first. I can drop off in evening and pick up in morning locally.

All cabins and for those that chose them, camp grounds. have toilets and showers. Plenty of toilets stop on the way, at least one fresh water wash daily.

With me you can relax and enjoy the view out a side window with my commentary, a drink and scenic pit stops. Know where to stop.

In NZ we drive on the left hand side. There are very few straight roads in New Zealand. Those hills are what gives us the awesome landscape.

25 kilometre per hour or 17 miles an hour speed limits on many corners.

I can be with your valuables in the van. Drop you off, get you started and pick up at the end of one way walking trails. 

 So you do not need to back track for a hired car. 

All walking optional, Typically one way slow walks of 15  to 90 minutes unless otherwise stated. Well maintained flat or rolling trails unless I advise before otherwise. If you prefer to stay, not walk I will take you to the local beauty spot with seats while we await the walkers.

What to do in the evenings, watch youtube on where we go next day, chess, card games, beach games. Share cooking, cleaning, stargaze, campfire if no fire ban and a fire pit handy. 

Go to local restaurant or pub or bed early for our normal 6am rises.

Intercity depart from Sky City Bus Terminal, 102 Hobson St Auckland. Or from Kerikeri to Whangarei intercity bus stop Art Museum 91 Dent St. Opposite PaknSave. NZ’s cheapest supermarket chain. 

Other pickups from Whangarei airport and Kereikeri, North of Whangarei airport. 

Or from Intercity bus stop outside Procter Library Cobham Rd Kerikeri.

Breakfast, cereal or porridge. Fruit Sandwiches, variety of bacon, egg, sausage, jam, peanut butter, marmite. Hot drinks.

Lunch, Salad and cheese or meat or fish sandwiches. Fruit,

Dinner, at least one BBQ. Vegetables, carbohydrates, pies, lasagne, and meat or fish for dinners. 

Ice cream, if a supermarket is along the route that day.

All are expected to help prepare food and clean and do dishs afterwards.

What if I have special dietary requirements? 

Please let me know in advance.

You will be able to prepare your meal separately from the provided food. 

You will be able to buy extra food at your expense that you may need from the supermarket.

How will I wash? You will have at least one, fresh water wash daily. A mix of hot or ambient temperature water. Many of the swimming options are fresh water.

Toilets, All camp grounds have toilets and most of the scenic stops have toilets.

Cooperative friendly attitude.

Essential Sturdy walk shoes or sandals with heel support.

Extra pair of casual footwear.

Swim wear. Set of warm weather clothes. Hat of cap with brim. 

Set of cool weather clothes including one warm top, one pair of trousers, raincoat,

Toiletries. Waterbottle.

Head lamp preferably with extra red light good for night time vision for bird spotting.

One backpack sized bag maximum 20 Kgs and one laptop case OR small day pack.

No need to bring a towel. I provide.

Walking shorts, Sturdy foot ware must be supported at heal, to get the best out of tour you will do some wading to around knee height,

All activities are optional and free. Activities chosen to represent the best of that locality. 

You may sit or in a vehicle or on local benches or shorter walk while you wait for others to complete. NZ Landscape is amazing just to sit in and absorb.

There is mobile phone data coverage the vast majority of the time. You can still run your business if you have a data plan for NZ.

There will be use of a hot spot at least twice a day for messages.

Bring NZ style plug adaptor and a power bank.

Most destinations child friendly. I will include play ground stops and some campsites with play areas. when schedule allows. Children to be attended all times. There are play grounds along the route. Please let me know asap so I can book the best family friendly camp grounds or cabins.
